Our Services

  • GUITAR
Sign up for on-site guitar lessons here ! We are resuming one-on-one sessions in the lesson loft.

Our instructor, Greg Douglass, is a veteran professional musician and guitar instructor who recently moved to Coos Bay. His credentials and resume are beyond exceptional.

Lessons with Greg are $50 per hour (55 minute sessions). Payment by the lesson or lesson-pack is required in advance. Time slots must be booked in advance either in-person at the store or via this website (confirmation required). In-store lessons are available from 10AM to 5PM Monday through Saturday (subject to change).

    PIANO/KEYBOARD
We are excited to announce another instructor to the OrCoast professional team!

We are now referring students to Lynne Kuhn, M.A as our piano and electronic keyboard instructor. Lynne provides beginner through advanced lesson programs via a classical foundation. She is a long time instructor at Southwest Oregon Community College and has a local studio.

The majority of P/K lessons will take place at Lynne’s studio near Mingus Park. For referrals, we ask that you fill out the student request form found at this link.

Other music lesson options may occur from time-to-time. Please keep checking this website and the OrCoast Music Facebook page for news and updates.

  • We specialize in electric and acoustic guitar set-up and repair. We have experience with the larger family of stringed instruments also.

Our current repair rate sheet can be found at this link.

Not all guitars/etc. can be repaired and some work is beyond the scope of our shop. We can help you decide the feasibility and options regarding a distressed instrument.

We accept repair & service work to brass and woodwinds at our store. The first step is an evaluation conducted by OrCoast staff and our trusted service parter. The evaluation of repair cost may require a call back to the customer after photos and other instrument detail are discussed with the shop. Turn-around time on brass & woodwinds is typically two weeks.

Presently, amplifier and other electronic repair is referred directly to our specialist, Vern Pruitt at 541-404-4417. We will not be accepting or evaluating amps and electronic repairs at our store.

  • If you have an instrument that you would like us to consider to purchase or trade for store credit, please read the FAQ section carefully.

In simplest terms, we only purchase instruments in good condition which we believe are resellable and minimal repair or restoration is required. There are also standards we adhere to as recommended by law enforcement with regards to documentation and identification.

With regards to our inventory of used instruments and equipment, they are sold as-is with no warranty. That said, we inspect, test, clean and tune our used merchandise for sale.

Our goal is to find good value for our customers with confidence that both parties accept part of the risk in dealing with used merchandise.
